Handcrafted Turquoise Blue Porcelain Roses Wide Rimmed Shallow Bowl

This Roses Wide Rimmed Colored Porcelain Shallow Bowl Measures:
5-1/2” wide x 1-1/2” high. 
This measurement includes the wide rim.
The concave interior width near the rim is 3” wide, and holds approximately 1/4 cup of liquid. 

Wheel-thrown Sio-2 Lagoon Turquoise Blue Porcelain Clay.
We did not color this porcelain; it is pre-colored by the manufacturer.

OUTSIDE:
Sio-2 Lagoon Turquoise Blue Porcelain Clay.
Almost touching the footring is a geometric diagonal pattern in a turquoise that is a tad bit darker than the porcelain clay itself.
This geometric pattern was created using a very narrow detailing tape, and glazed between the tape lines.
Above the geometric pattern are eight hand drawn roses that have been glazed with underglaze.
A clear, food safe glaze was applied over this flower band.

INSIDE:
The inside rim of this bowl consists of eleven roses of various sizes.
They were hand drawn, and the drawing lined with rubber latex.
When the rubber latex dried, three coats of underglaze was applied to the negative space created with the rubber latex.
Clear glaze was brushed over the underglaze areas; three coats as well.

Just below the roses three coats of Amaco's Flux Blossom was brushed on.
This gives the inside bottom of the bowl a very soft look as compared to the more graphic feel of the roses.
The bottom, inside swirl is clearly visible under the glaze.

Wheel-thrown Sio-2 Lagoon Turquoise Porcelain
Lead free, dinnerware safe glazes
Fired to cone 6 (2232 degrees Fahrenheit).
I recommend washing this shallow, wide rimmed bowl by hand.
My signature engraved on the bottom.
