Dennis's Handmade Candle Plate with Press Molded Leaves Measures:

4-1/8" wide x 5/8" high

Use to hold votive candles or short pillar candles.
Can also accommodate jewelry, coins, candy or perhaps to serve a couple bonbons.
Tea bag holder.

OUTSIDE:
On the outside of this Leaves Candle Plate two different colored porcelain were spun together on the potter’s wheel to create the neriage effect.
A soft white and chartreuse colored porcelain clays.
The neriage effect is clearly visible on the bottom and sides of this candle plate.
Sides flare out as they ascend towards the rim, and the sides are completely glazed with glossy, dinnerware safe, lead free clear glaze.

INSIDE:
Pale chartreuse and speckled pale bluish white. 
The center swirl is clearly visible under the glaze.

RIM:
Press molded leaves of two different greens adorn the circumference of the rim. Each leaf is painstakingly outlined with a coral colored porcelain coil.
Leaves are NOT hot glued on.
Leaves were press molded using a resin mold, and attached to the candle plate in its greenware (raw) state.
The leaves were fired in the hot kiln with the plate. 

Wheel thrown and hand glazed by Dennis.
Colored Standard 365 Porcelain Clay. 
Glazed with dinnerware safe, lead free glazes. 
Dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. 
Kiln fired to cone 6 (2232 degrees Fahrenheit)
