Wheel-thrown Leaves Soap Dish. Soap Dish for Small, Square Soaps. Ceramic Pottery.

Dennis's Handmade Soap Dish with Press Molded Leaves and Woven Soap Platform Measures: 

4" wide x 1" high

Please Note - Our soap dishes will NOT hold a large bar of soap.
Our soap dishes are designed for small 2" x 2" square bars of soap, or similar size.

Can not be used as a candle plate because of the raised platform on the inside.

OUTSIDE:
On the outside of this Leaves Soap Dish two different colored porcelain were spun together on the potter’s wheel to create the neriage effect.
A soft white and titanium yellow (eggnog yellow color) colored porcelain clays.
The neriage effect is clearly visible on the bottom of this soap dish.
Dennis press molded leaves and attached them to the soap dish in its raw (greenware) state.
The leaves are NOT hot glued on, they were fired in the kiln with the dish, and are an integral part of the pottery.
Sides are completely glazed with glossy, dinnerware safe, lead free clear glaze.

INSIDE:
The soap platform is hand-woven porcelain, and is slightly raised for the soap to sit on.
The platform is a dark tourmaline green with a very subtle pale pink float on top.
The inside is a pale mint green 

RIM:
Titanium yellow (eggnog yellow colored porcelain, with a clear lead-free, dinnerware safe glossy glaze).

Wheel thrown and hand glazed by Dennis.
Colored Standard 365 Porcelain Clay. 
Glazed with dinnerware safe, lead free glazes. 
Dishwasher safe. 
Kiln fired to cone 6 (2232 degrees Fahrenheit)
